The new site does not require an account to use the site .Anyone can browse the site without creating an account.
One of the goals of the new site was to make it easy to maintain and support. There are also many "data protection" laws that we would need to follow if we captured personal information on our users.
We have therefore decided not to maintain email data on our users and therefore will not send out email digests or email updates.
Where are the user forums and discussion groups?
One of the goals of the new site was to make it easy to maintain and support. Things have changed quite a bit since 2000 when the site was started. There are now dedicated sites that let folks share information and socialize. Please see our "User Groups" page for some pointers to places where you can interact online with other local residents.
HOW do I Add a Business or Organization?
To add a business or organisiation, you need to create an account. The button below will allow you to register for an account. Your account will need to be approved by the website admins. We aim to do this as quickly as possible but please appreciate the site is staffed by volunteers.
Once your account is created, you can then fill in a simple form to add your business organisation and your business or organization will be added to the site Please make sure to include an email address.
You will then get access to your own "management" console to keep your information up to date and accurate. And you can even add related news or events to the site.
HOW DO I Add an Event or News?
If you want to add some news or an event concerning a business or organisation, please follow the above process.
If you are not sure who is managing your business or organization on the website, contact your organization. As a last resort, we can try to help.
If you just want to enter a single event or news item, you can do so by using the appropriate button below. Please note that events and news will need to be approved by the website admins. We aim to do this as quickly as possible but please appreciate the site is staffed by volunteers.
