FirkinFest, Grayshott’s Beer festival, includes outstanding musical entertainment and is held at Grayshott Village Hall at the end of October. In 2012 we hold our fourth festival on 26th & 27th October FirkinFest IV.  The original FirkinFest was held in 2009 with headliners ‘The Upbeat Beatles’ and returned in 2010 with ‘The Rollin’ Clones’ and 2011 with ‘Rhapsody’. FirkinFest is organised by David Phillips, Peter Hatch, Tony Legat, Graham Pullen and is kindly supported by Village Hall Committee, The Fox & Pelican and our FirkinSponsors.     Hope you enjoyed FirkinFest III as much as we did - this years festival seemed to us to be an outstanding success

    We would like to receive any comments good or bad so that we may improve things for FirkinFest IV and beyond

    Comments about the beers/ciders/wines, food, bands, venue, organisation, timing, price or anything else you can think of will all be gratefully received by the FirkinFour

    Thanks ‘Firkinfour’ for a great Firkinfriday – i’m afraid that 2 nights out in a row is probably a bit too much for me but i trust saturday went just as well.

    Really enjoyed the evening and the attendance on Friday appeared greater than last year so well done.

    I thought everything was extremely straight-forward – ordered my ticket online and could then collect at the door – great. Fantastic range of beers!!! – think the wristband is a great idea and would like to thank all involved whether organising, serving or clearing up!

    This is not a criticism but a personal view – i know a few people who couldn’t attend because the event fell during the school ‘half term’ holiday and they were away. I must admit walking down to Kapadokya for a kebab in preference to a burger. I can’t remember the band that played last year on the friday but remember them passing the microphone around the audience during some of their songs – with hilarious results – and whilst Beats Working are very good i preferred the ‘audience interaction’ of last year!

    Anyway, many thanks for putting the event together and see you for Firkinfest iv.

    “I can’t remember the band that played last year on the friday but remember them passing the microphone around the audience during some of their songs – with hilarious results” – Graham -obviously my branding needs to be better ;)   that was my Vic Cracknell Band last year…have actually played live music off and on around Grayshott since around 1990 and play over 150 gigs all over the area…last night I was again at The Punchbowl, Hindhead for their weekly Friday night live music & tomorrow hosting one of my Vic’s Buskers open mics at the Ptrince Of Wales, Hammer featuring local talented performers.
