Dear subscriber

Did you get the feeling something was missing a couple of weekends ago?

The Sunday Funday formerly the Village Jamboree and Party in Grayshott has been skipped this year but this weekend we at least have the Childrens Funfair on the Village Green. Alfie & Tracy Miles have kindly organised the usual fair with inflatable's, kiddies rides, games, stalls, candy floss, popcorn and much more on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

The Square Group are also holding a stall on the green to raise funds for the Square Refurbishment Project with a Square Treasure Hunt where you get to guess the paving slab under which the 'treasure is buried' and an Art Sale of oil paintings donated by local artist Joan Blacker - so please look in on them and support this worthy local cause.

Also on Saturday is Grayshott Primary School's Summer Fair an action packed family day out with Swimming, Displays, Craft Stalls, Cake Stall, Plants Stall, BBQ, Beer Tent with Hogsback TEA. The gates open at noon with free admission courtesy of Gascoigne Pees and the fun continues until 3pm.

The third and final British & Irish Lions test in South Africa kicks of at 2pm on Saturday and although 2-nil down it is still well worth watching. The match will be screened at Grayshott Social Club where the buzz of a very successful Jazz & Beer Festival still resonates - you'd be most welcome to drop in.

Have a good weekend.
