Dear subscriber

I guess this weekend, which is unusually void of major village events, could be described as the calm before the storm as we all prepare for the Grayshott Sunday Funday on 29th June. This promises to be another fabulous village event with all the excitement of the carnival procession followed by an excellent programme of entertainment. Just in case your funday flyer never made it through your hairy high security letterbox you can view the full itinerary online.

The Party in Grayshott crew are still in need of more volunteers to help out on the day so please email david.j.phillips@btconnect.com or call Dave on 01428 606036 and we will be most grateful.

A big welcome to The Royal School who have this week joined our sponsors in supporting the website.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes by the way - my final, final celebration takes place this Saturday at the Social Club when I indulge one of my passions to play at Pete's 50th Poker Tournie. We are still a few players short of capacity so if you fancy losing your shirt to some texas holdem please give me a ring.

And now I'm off to St Luke's to a remembrance service for Mike Fasham. He was a splendid fellow who shared my other passion a love of rugby and we will all miss him. My thoughts on this day are with Jos and Matthew.

Have a good weekend.
