Dear subscriber

What a nice week we've had. There was an excellent turnout on St George's Day for the Tea Party in The Square - the weather was extremely kind and the cream teas just flew out of the new PiG Marquee - check the website gallery out over the weekend for some great photos of this happy day organised by the Square Group

On Wednesday evening Cowardy Custard took to the stage at Grayshott Village Hall with an engaging performance by the Grayshott Stagers - there were no less than 56 songs making up this light hearted entertaining musical revue of Noël Coward's best-loved work including - "Mad About the Boy" - "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" - "Let's Do It" - It makes you feel glad Mrs Worthington did put her daughter on the stage after all. Check Grayshott Books for tickets for tonight and tomorrow or you can probably sneak in at the door.

If you are at a loss for what to do this Saturday you could go for a Wilderness Wander over Hankley Common or there is "The Big Match" Chelsea v Manchester United 12:45pm at the Social Club and in the evening down at the old Fox & Pelican is a terrific female duo Nadie and Laura otherwise known as the Lady Killers with their mix of songs from the Scissor Sisters, Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, The Beatles and much more.

Looking ahead to Friday week you must get along to see the World Famous Red Sox at the Village Hall - its not often we get live music of this calibre in Grayshott with - Jamie Moses (Guitar/vocals) Queen, Bob Geldof, Paul Young, SAS Band - Spike Edney ( Keyboards/vocals) Queen, Duran Duran, Boomtown Rats, SAS Band - Steve Stroud (Bass/vocals) Cliff Richard, Boogie Wonder Band, The Hollies, SAS Band - John Marter ( Drums/vocals) Marillion/Fish, The Mods, Mr Big, SAS Band - Doors open at 8pm. Licensed bar Tickets in advance £17.50 from Grayshott Books or £20 on the door - if not sold out.

Talking of music of high calibre there is a news item now posted by Grayshott Concerts quite rightly singing the praises of Martin Smith in Headley Star Violinist Delights Packed Grayshott Audience

The Grayshott Gardeners have also posted a news item about their Spring Show with a full report of the winners and some colourful photos.

Did you get a chance to look at the interactive village map ? there is now also the the village centre map to look at and play with just in case you get lost.

Have a great weekend.

25th apr - Headley Star Violinist Delights Packed Grayshott Audience - Grayshott concert-goers were treated to a scintillating and exuberant performance of one of the world's best loved classical works on Saturday when Martin Smith performed Bruch's Violin Concerto No.1 in G minor at St Luke's Church to a capacity audience. more...
22nd apr - Grayshott Gardeners Spring Show - The Grayshott Gardeners put on their Spring Show in the Grayshott Village Hall on Saturday 12 April on a typical April day of sun and showers. The day saw a record number of 331 entries, which far exceeded the 198 entries in the previous year. The warm January followed by hard frosts and even a sprinkling of snow had not affected the quality of the exhibits and reminded some of the more mature members of the winters they and their plants had enjoyed? in times past. more...
