Dear subscriber

With a weekend forecast of sleet, high winds and freezing temperatures it must be the Easter bank holiday. Yep, Easter has come so early this year, spring has not even so much as sprung, and getting into the garden, and staying there, will be a real challenge for even the most hardened of Grayshott gardeners. Alternatively we could take up the nations second favourite pastime and go shopping, or is it feet up in front of the goggle box?

If you fancy a bit of live music this Saturday night then I suggest you get on down to the Fox & Pelican where 'Mr Entertainment' Vic Cracknell will be performing a diverse set of classic songs from The Beatles, Elton John, Van Morrison, Oasis, Coldplay, Elvis, Johnny Cash, with sing-alongs, rock'n'roll and a whole lot more.

If football is your thing then there are four top notch Premiership matches to enjoy this weekend at Grayshott Social Club - on Saturday at 12:45pm Pompi visit Spurs then at 5:15pm Everton take on the Hammers - on Easter Super Sunday at 1.30pm Man United play Liverpool and finally at 4:00pm it's Chelsea v Arsenal.

However you decide to spend your Easter, have a great time, and please don't forget the true meaning of the Easter message. As my daughter once proclaimed many years ago "Isn't it wonderful that Jesus died just for me - so that I could have Easter Eggs" Bless her!

19th mar - Grayshott Stagers Cowardy Custard - Grayshott Stagers next musical production is Cowardy Custard an entertainment devised by Gerald Frow, Alan Strachan and Wendy Toye. As well as many of the instantly recognisable Coward songs, there are extracts from several of his plays more...
14th mar - What's On! newsletter - Hands up all those who stayed up to watch the budget. I confess I am bit of a politics addict, so even though several backbenchers seemed to be drifting off to the sounds of 'move over darling' into their dreamworlds of second home expenses I remained alert. As it turned out it was a jolly good ooportunity for a kip. Rather like England's performance on the rugby field of late it was all a bit of a disappointment - but nevermind we have a far better pantomime to watch in Grayshott TONIGHT! more...
12th mar - Community First in Grayshott - Community First East Hampshire's newly appointed outreach worker, Janet Easton, would like to meet key people in the local community of Grayshott. To get the ball rolling Janet met this week with Peter Hatch, webmaster of grayshott.com and chairman of Party in Grayshott and Phil Bates of the Grayshott Society to discuss local issues. more...
12th mar - Hindhead Together exhibition display extended - After two very busy days for last week, the Concept Statement display has now gone to Haslemere Town Hall. Following this it will go to Beacon Hill to give people another chance to see the ideas for redevelopment of the London Road area. The Hindhead Together Partnership wants the local community involved in agreeing on possible opportunities for development within the context of the historical, cultural and environmental assets of the area. more...
