Dear subscriber
With a weekend forecast of sleet, high winds and freezing temperatures it must be the Easter bank holiday. Yep, Easter has come so early this year, spring has not even so much as sprung, and getting into the garden, and staying there, will be a real challenge for even the most hardened of Grayshott gardeners. Alternatively we could take up the nations second favourite pastime and go shopping, or is it feet up in front of the goggle box?
If you fancy a bit of live music this Saturday night then I suggest you get on down to the Fox & Pelican where 'Mr Entertainment' Vic Cracknell will be performing a diverse set of classic songs from The Beatles, Elton John, Van Morrison, Oasis, Coldplay, Elvis, Johnny Cash, with sing-alongs, rock'n'roll and a whole lot more.
If football is your thing then there are four top notch Premiership matches to enjoy this weekend at Grayshott Social Club - on Saturday at 12:45pm Pompi visit Spurs then at 5:15pm Everton take on the Hammers - on Easter Super Sunday at 1.30pm Man United play Liverpool and finally at 4:00pm it's Chelsea v Arsenal.
However you decide to spend your Easter, have a great time, and please don't forget the true meaning of the Easter message. As my daughter once proclaimed many years ago "Isn't it wonderful that Jesus died just for me - so that I could have Easter Eggs" Bless her!
