Dear subscriber

Hands up all those who stayed up to watch the budget. I confess I am bit of a politics addict, so even though several backbenchers seemed to be drifting off to the sounds of 'move over darling' into their dreamworlds of second home expenses I remained alert. As it turned out it was a jolly good ooportunity for a kip. Rather like England's performance on the rugby field of late it was all a bit of a disappointment - but nevermind we have a far better pantomime to watch in Grayshott TONIGHT!

Break a Leg

Tonight and tommorrow those Pantomaniacs take to the stage at the Village Hall with their version of Jack and the Beanstalk Tickets are nearly all sold out but please check at the bookshop and failing that you may be lucky to get in on a return at the door. Break a leg guys and gals.

Live Music at the Fox

This Sunday it's a jazz night at the Fox & Pelican with quintet Sounds So Familiar playing jazz standards with a swing. Next Tuesday it's another night featuring some of the area's most talented acoustic performers including Damien Flynn, Floron Florenzo and others at the Singer Songwriter Night. Music starts at 8-30pm and it's Free entry.

Hindhead Together

If you didn't make it to the Hindhead Together partnership Exhibition last weekend at the Devil's Punchbowl hotel there is still an opportunity to view the draft concept statement and make your comments on how Hindhead should be developed post tunnel as the exhibition is extended.

Community First

I met up with Janet Easton, Community First East Hampshire's newly appointed outreach worker, this week along with Phil Bates. Janet's role is to assist anyone who needs help setting up a group, establishing a committee, setting up paperwork or finding funds, so if you fit the bill do give her a call.

Paddy's Day

After our slip up at Muddyfield last week it'll be a wonder if we beat the Irish tommorrow at 3pm. Former England rugby fans, who have been checking genesreunited this week for long lost relations from Wales, Scotland in fact anywhere other than England, will be wondering whether Cipriano can do any better than Wilko. I recommend you at least grab a pre budget pint at Grayshott Social Club for the highlight of the three matches tommorrow as Wales take on France for the Grand Slam.
