Dear subscriber
I hope you had a really good Christmas break.
There is always a bit of a lull in the first week or so of January and this allows time to reflect on the previous years events. I hope you enjoyed the 2007 news review which summarised most of the 120 news items submitted to grayshott.com last year - it only goes to show just how busy a year it was for Grayshott and for the village website.
If you run a local organisation please email me your list of 2008 events for the website as soon as possible. Not only does this help promote yourselves but helps avoid clash of dates. Please also use the village diary in Tanchoux which runs in tandem with the website as not everyone is webbed up.
Not much going on then except the regular live music at the Fox & Pelican - this Sunday Adam Norsworthy returns and on Tuesday it's Singer Song Writer Night both start at 8.30pm and are free entry.
If you're thinking about moving our sponsors Keats have several "open houses" in Grayshott this Saturday (see below) and Saturdays beyond and the details will be posted on the website noticeboard.
If your business could use a bit of extra local PR, marketing or advertising please consider using the website it really is an effective and cost effective way of reaching your existing and potential customers - just let me know if you're interested and we can have a chat.
We live in a relatively safe and crime free area, and this is partly down to the diligence of the local police in conjunction with neighbourhood watch - so as an experiment I thought it might be a good idea to pass on any useful info via the website that may help further in tackling crime. The first neighbourhood watch bulletin is posted on the noticeboard which is worth checking out.
I would like to wish you all a happy, healthy, safe and prosperous new year.
Peter Hatch
