A Grayshott Christmas Carol

This year as always there will be Carols in the Square around the Christmas tree on Christmas Eve. A very merry affair to be sure with Rev'd Susan leading the singing with the help of some members from Grayshott's new choir "Excelsis". Hot Chocolate & Mince Pies will be served from 6.30pm to help keep out the cold, the carols start at 7pm, and the collection this year is in aid of the Village Square Project

This years event is organised by Buy in Grayshott in association with Grayshott Concerts with the use of the Square by kind permission of Grayshott Parish Council or if it's wet in Grayshott Village Hall

Keeping it Live

More live music this Sunday at the Fox & Pelican with Manu + Support who have a distinct relaxed and soulful sound all of their own. They will be performing original songs alongside an interesting selection of cover songs which include songs adapted from soul & dance classics.

And on Tuesday there is a Trad Jazz Night and I have heard that the 'Balham Nightingale' will be making a rare appearance.

Then the following Sunday 23rd help yourself to a festive treat from Vic & Friends Selection Box with various special 'guest performers' popping by to play and collaborate on some familiar Christmas songs. It?s going to be a real cracker!

I'm delighted to welcome Ben & Emma, managers of the Fox & Pelican, on board as new website sponsors. Thanks guys.

Keeping it Safe

Gentlemen Jim is always looking out for us and next Thursday he is holding an Open Surgery at his new office next to the new loos. This is a good opportunity to get your bikes invisibly postcoded as part of a Christmas security programme. Why not pop in for a chat, he really is a very nice chap, and would love to see you at this festive time of year.

Well there we are - hopefully I'll have time to do one more What's On! before Christmas - perhaps I might even have something a bit special in mind to get us into the Christmas spirit. But now its off to buy that Christmas tree before I dot another i.

Until next weeks What's On!
