Dear grayshott.com subscriber

STOP PRESS - Thanks to a BT line fault which lost me my broadband connection last Thursday and didn't get fixed until Sunday this is posted two days late - but better late than never - some of the content is now history but I've left it in just for the record.

If you are into live music then on Saturday afternoon get yourself along to the Music Mini Fest @ Haslemere Museum Garden organised by Buskers Express. Vic Cracknell and Rupert Oxlade who both performed at the Jamboree are there with six other acts - only £3 entrance - noon to 4pm.

If you are into sport I hope you are enjoying the 3rd test. All the cricket, football, rugby, golf, F1 available on SKY, SKYHD, Setanta, Beeb and ITV games will of course be shown at Grayshott Social Club on their super 50" HD plasma - if you are not a member yet do come along this may be a good time to join....

This Saturday sees the first premiership game of the season between Spurs and newcomers Sunderland which kicks off at 1pm

After the footy comes the rugby and England take on France in the second world cup warm up game at 4pm. Somehow I don't think we'll repeat the thrashing given to Wales last week.

The rugby will be followed by the Aston Villa Liverpool match which although kicking off at 5.30pm before the rugby finishes will, thanks to SKY+, be shown in its entirety so you don't miss a thing.

In the evening at the club is Brian's Film & TV Quiz starting at 8pm - always a good laugh.

I have now included the next seven main events coming up on the homepage of grayshott.com. This is so you have enough warning to get the dates in you diary and of course buy your tickets in advance.

Tickets are now on sale for the Summer Ball @ The club on Sat 25th August with music from Band 251 STOP PRESS - The Red Sox @ Village Hall gig has just been cancelled due to the clash with the Club Summer Ball a new date will be announced soon.

Golfers are required for the next BIG Charity Golf Day @ Hurtmore Golf Course on Wed 5th Sept then the following weekend sees the Haslemere Beer Festival 2007 @ Haslemere Hall and a new event posted this week the Party in the Piazza @ The Village Square on Sunday with lunch provided by the Village Kitchen Caterers along an Italian theme - this is the first event to start the fundraising for the Village Square Refurbishment.

On a final serious note you will see there is a notice about foot & mouth disease on the website as Grayshott is in the surveillance zone - please follow the links to DEFRA - Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs - Foot and Mouth and East Hampshire District Council to get the latest info.

Hope you get this issue of What's On! as at this moment in time my internet connection which went AWOL yesterday has yet to be restored.

If you would like to post any items on the website, news, events, etc please simply send the details in a reply to this email.

Until next weeks What's On! On or Off
