Dear grayshott.com subscriber If you didn't know already, and it would be hard not to, midnight tonight is a very, very important occasion as we finally get to know what happens as the Harry Potter saga comes to an end. Grayshott Books and Movies in Grayshott have combined forces to deliver the ultimate Harry Potter experience in Grayshott tonight - for details read all about it in Calling all Harry Potter Fans I have so far managed to avoid catching Pottermania, although I did enjoy watching the latest "Order of the Phoenix" film this week. To be perfectly honest I am more interested in Beer, yes really, and so will probably be drawn down to the opening of the Crossways Inn beer festival in Churt. More good news this week was the announcement of the first beer fest in Haslemere on 7/8th Sept - tickets are now on sale and you can sample the delights in Haslemere Beer Festival 2007 - Great beer where three counties meet! This year has been big on birthdays. Another two biggies were held this week and you can join the fun in 1st Grayshott Scouts Celebrate at Centenary Party and The Sun Shines on Little Sunflowers 40th Anniversary Celebrations Also in the news is the Clean Up for Grayshott's Memorial and I've just been notified that there will be a rededication ceremony on Sat 4th August to which everyone is invited. The website is constantly under redevelopment and you will have noticed a radical change to the homepage. The aim is to condense all the links for relevant news, events and postings for each week onto one screen. The current week forms the homepage so that regular visitors can see at a glance all the latest info and by using the navigational arrows look back or forward with ease. I made the same transition with the news page a while back which unbelievable was at one time all one page and scrolled on for ever - the reason for change was therefore the same as with the 2007 village diary which had become so large it was increasing download time beyond the acceptable and the obvious solution was to slice it up into a week at a time in this way. Hope this change is for the better but we'll see. More changes are planned. I have received some very helpful advice from the Hantsweb awards team and I am always keen to hear from our users - so please send us your views If you would like to post any items on the website, news, events, etc please simply send the details in a reply to this email or follow the links below. Until next weeks What's On! Dead or Alive!
