Good Morning Grayshott! Well it's a bit iffy actually - it seems the english summer weather may be reverting to type - wet wet wet At least the rain in the main held off for the wonderful Hidden Gardens of Grayshott event and let's hope it clears up all together in time for the Village Jamboree next Saturday. Please take a look at the Interactive Poster to see the latest programme of events - there have been a few changes to the flyer that you may have received. Every year hundreds of people help out at the Jamboree and if you would like to volunteer for an hour or so please contact Dave Phillips on 01428 606036 david.j.phillips@btconnect.com Have you bought your raffle tickets yet? - there are loads of great prizes in this years community raffle organised by PIG - tickets are on sale in several shops around the village and on the day itself next to the Lyndon Green Village Bar. Proceeds go to support the Jamboree and other PIG events. Don't forget that also on the day of the Jamboree Grayshott Fire & Rescue are holding their Centenary Open Day starting at 10am at the fire station. At 2.30 they join the "Grayshott on Fire" carnival procession - its not too late to enter a float or walking entry - just turn up at the village hall by 2pm to take part. I'm delighted to announce that the new managers of the Fox & Pelican, Ben & Emma Bagguley, are kindly sponsoring the BATALA Portsmouth Samba Reggae band which will be leading this years procession. You can be assured their generous £500 donation will be worth every penny - just you wait.... If you fancy a bit of excercise on Jamboree day you could join the Grayshott Physiotherapy Family Fun Run which starts at 4pm by the war memorial - then refuel later at one of the Jamboree food stalls. Today the Club, which has already passed its centenary, is holding its Open Day Please come along anytime between 2pm and 11pm and if you have never been before we'll show you around and everyone gets a drink on us. You could also come along to watch South Africa play Australia in the tri-nations at 2pm and have you heard it on the grapevine? there is free live music tonight. Please take a look at all the many news items, posts and events below - you wouldn't want to miss anything, now would you? Peter Hatch And now for the usual blurb....
