Hello Grayshott Interweb fans This bumper edition of "what's on" unusually covers the next two weeks or so as I'm taking a holiday - what will you do without me? So briefly here is a summary in strict chronological order.....and I leave the best to last so please see it through Tonight at 6pm the fabulous Beacon Hill Beer Festival opens its doors and at 9pm Grayshott band "Vic & Something 4 the weekend" will be playing. If you're lost for something else to do tonight you could see The Queen at the village hall or take in a musical with CAROUSEL in Haslemere (also on sat) Meanwhlile old friends will be celebrating at the PK Pre-school's 20th Birthday Party @ The Club Be up all the earlier next morning though for the Grayshott Gardeners Big Bargain Plant Sale The second and last day of the Beacon Hill Beer Festival then starts at noon going from strength to strength with even more live music and a Hog Roast & BBQ - all ending at midnight. Are you watching the FA Cup Final Chelsea v Manchester Utd at 3pm? It's going to be a tight one. Yes - then you might be interested to know that the Club is offering half price Carlsberg to cool the nerves from 2pm until the first goal is scored - are they mad? And if there is an early goal maybe there will be some left for the champions league final Chelsea v AC Milan on Wednesday on SKY HD Also at the club on Saturday 26th is a special Mega Music Replayed Disco Night tickets £5 and it's all for charity mates!. The next BIG Meeting has been put back a week to Tuesday after the bank holiday - I'm sure this isn't because I'll be away because I never really have much to say. Congratulations to Phil Bates and Grayshott Pottery just awarded 'Most Pro-Active Business in the Community' 2007 - read all about it in Awards for all in Grayshott! By the way, did you spot the odd one out in the Hidden Gardens of Grayshott mystery photo competition? Now for the best bit! Grayshott is going for the hat trick - and has entered the village awards for the third time having won best village in Hampshire twice. If you love your village then on Thursday 31st May you get to prove it just by showing up at the Pub between 11am and noon perchance to chat to the "Love your village 2007" judges and BIG Dick Smith will buy you a drink - well I think that was what he said - anyway please read his "LOVE YOUR VILLAGE" 2007 news item for details. Well that's enough I'm off to pack my suitcase and then perhaps time for a half of Chocolate Frog or maybe a Fat Willie. Serife!
