Grayshott What's On!
June 2006

My son Rob is bringing his choir all the way from Wales to play in Grayshott on Tuesday 6th June. This might seem a long way to come but The Elizabethan Madrigal Singers aka University of Wales Aberystwyth Chamber Choir are on their way to Iceland for their annual tour so Grayshott is really just round the corner. No tickets are required for the concert which is at St. Luke's Church from 8pm to 9pm and afterwards everyone is welcome to come along to a reception at Grayshott Social Club for some refreshment and to meet the choir. This concert isn't just for the classical officianados - I promise you a fabulous hours worth of entertainment whatever your musical tastes - and just to get your mouth watering; Lotti's 'Crucifxus', Standford's 'Beati Quorum Via', Welsh and Icelandic folk songs 'Blue Moon', 'Tea For Two'' and Robs very own rendition of Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy' - you know - that catchy little number.

Even more music abounds at this years Village Jamboree on Sat 24th June.

There is so much to say about this I suggest you visit the PIG Webpage for all the current info including the "World Cup" themed Carnival Procession As usual we will be leafleting the village with full details nearer the time.

In the meantime please get your tickets for the Grayshott Community Raffle as the proceeds will help to fund this and other PIG events. There is a fabulous list of prizes and tickets are now available in several shops in the village.

The hanging baskets are already promising a great BIG Blooming in Grayshott and if you are feeling a little envious of their vitality and abundence all the secrets will be revealed, and your horticultural problems answered at the Grayshott Gardeners "Any Question" Open Evening

So have a cracking June lets hope the weather perks up - oh I nearly forgot to mention the World Cup which starts on June 9th - and a little plug for Grayshott Social Club who have wisely invested in the latest viewing technology to ensure that all the matches can be watched and atmosphere (as well as refreshment) absorbed. Come on England! Please don't let it go to penalties.

You will find the complete list of upcoming events by visiting www.grayshott.com and clicking the EVENTS section on the main menu.
