Grayshott What's On!
February 2006
Dear website subscriber
Where has January gone?
It's time to look ahead at Febs village events but before we do Ferris Cowper has asked me to mention that there is an opportunity to Have coffee with your MP & councillors this Saturday Morning 28th Jan at 10am to noon in the Small Village Hall. This is a chance for an informal chat with our local MP James Arbuthnot, Hants County Councillor Sam James, and of course Ferris himself as our very own Hants District Councillor.
You will see that I have reveamped the way events are listed on the website as there are so many of them. So you can now view All by DATE / All by ORGANISATION / All by VENUE / ENTERTAINMENT / MEETINGS / SPORTING / COMMUNITY / SALES
Coming up in Feb then is the BIG Best Dressed Shop Awards Dinner at the Gurka Durbar Nepalese Restaurant and I believe a few places are left - please contact Dick Smith. Plans are budding to bring a fresh look to Grayshott this year and the Grayshott Gardeners have come up with a blooming good idea - one that Alan Titmarsh who presented Grayshott with the best village awards in December would I'm sure be impressed with - watch this space.
I expect some of you are looking forward to watching the 6 Nations Rugby which starts Saturday week. For Grayshott Cricketers Indoor Nets Starts at Amesbury School on the same day.
As always there is a full programme of entertainment at Phoenix Theatre & Arts Centre (sponsored by Grayshott Pottery & Stoneware) with a new film night included.
Looking further ahead - Work has already begun on the Panto in Grayshott (yes- another PIG) and those who survived the casting couch are busy rehearsing their lines for the performances of "Treasure Island - Parrots of the Caribbean" on 17/18th March. Who needs to wait for the next series of LOST?
You will find the complete list of upcoming events by visiting www.grayshott.com and clicking the EVENTS section on the main menu.
You may also like to include an event on www.grayshott.com - if so, please use the online form or simply reply to this email giving the details.
As always, I welcome any comments about our village website and hope you continue to enjoy using it.
