It's that time of year when I like to review grayshott.com to see how it has been doing and take a look forward to next year to consider how our Grayshott village website can be sustained.

This year has seen many changes to the layout and function of the website - hopefully for the better - and I always welcome feedback from users which often helps me to make further improvements.

Traffic to the website has greatly increased and over the last year grayshott.com has averaged 540 visits and 11,000 hits a day, totalling 200,000 visits in 2007 with over 4 million hits. This is three and a half times the number of visits in 2006.

The output of website content has also markedly increased with 240 events, 120 news items, 34 new directory entries totalling 365, and 40 what's on e-newsletters published in 2007.

Since it's humble beginnings, and with this latest quantum leap in activity, the demands of keeping the website updated has grown exponentially and I am now looking at how the time I necessarily spend can be best used and afforded.

I would like once again to thank our website sponsors and friends who have provided financial assistance to cover running costs, fund professional design and support and to help with marketing and promotion and I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to consider joining them in 2008.
