Pantomime in Grayshott - March 2011
The pantomime is performed by residents of Grayshott and other local communities along with parents, teachers and pupils from Grayshott School. For the most part they are complete amateurs in the 'thespian' world but are happy to get up on stage once a year for the benefit of the local Grayshott community and Grayshott School.
Over the years (the first panto was in 1986) this 'panto' group has seen members come and go and it is very important that new 'players' and helpers come forward each year to join the current incumbents and replace those who step down.
Each year help is needed in all areas, from front-of-house, costumes and props to set construction and actual performing. The Director only considers children, those above Year 6, and younger teenagers for roles if their parents are involved in the production and attend some rehearsals with them.
