Contract and overseeing of general gardening work in Village centre. Overseeing contract work for grass cutting, hedge cutting etc. Overseeing planting of Millenium sign. To maintain a regular inspection of The Square, skate park and playgrounds together with allotments sites, to ensure plots are actively worked. To keep under review street cleanliness and to look at ways and means of maintaining a good standard of cleanliness. To keep under review the public footpaths and Rights of Way, and report any maintenance problems.

Responsibilities
The Square, Village Green and Lyndon Green, Children's Play Areas at Lyndon Green and Sports Field, War Memorial, Sports Field, skate park, tennis courts, allotments including collection of rents and grazing land at Beech Allotments, seats, noticeboards, trees and notification to the Rights of Way Officer HCC of any maintenance required to Public Footpaths and Bridleways.
The Council and members of the public are requested to report direct to the relevant authority cases of urgency affecting footway and highway safety, including defects in street lighting, drains and bollards.
