Residents and visitors are invited to take part in a new fun day of 'throwing a pot' at Grayshott Pottery. The event is part of a new schedule of events launched by Grayshott Pottery, to give customers of all ages, the chance to have a go at creating a 'work of art' on the potter's wheel. This latest event takes place on Saturday April 24th 2010 from 10am until 4pm.
Demonstrations will be given by expert thrower Phil Wareham, who will be on hand to give advice and the activities will last about 30 minutes each. Participants will then be able to have their finished pieces fired during the following week.
Ed Snell, Managing Director of Grayshott Pottery said "We tried out this activity at the end of last year and it was very successful. We are really looking forward to this next throwing event. A lot of people have never had a go or maybe tried it when they were at school. It should be a lot of fun!"
'Throw with Phil' costs £15 per person and advance booking is essential. The organisers ask that all under 16s are accompanied by an adult.
For bookings on April 24th 2010 from 10am to 4pm, or for further information please contact Grayshott Pottery, School Road, Grayshott GU26 6LR on 01428 604404.
