The launch of the Grayshott Community Plan is taking place on Wednesday the 28th April at 8pm in the village hall, can you try as hard as possible to attend - we really need your support to make this a big success.

This is a government initiative about local people having more control over their community and environment. It is a huge project that needs the support from ALL of Grayshott's people (young and old).

Linda Munday from EHDC (Community Planning Co-ordinator) will present along with a guest speaker Doug Jones. Doug is from Buriton, we have asked him to give a short presentation about the amazing success they have had with their parish plan.

We are a very fortunate community to have so many very active groups, committees and individuals who are working on projects to find ways of enhancing current facilities. When you look at the hard work that went onto the Village Design Statement, this is a very well respected document which is referred to when considering planning applications etc. The Sports and Recreation report which is still evolving, Greening and our Environment still evolving.

These finding are all about what changes and enhancements our community want to see. The Grayshott Community Plan will enable all this hard work to be compiled into one document 'The Grayshott Community Plan' and enable us as a community to go to the powers to be and ask for funding for new projects, with the proof that the village has asked for these facilities and changes.

We promise this will be a punchy, interesting session with a glass of wine thrown in too.........we look forward to seeing you there and thank you for your support.
