The Grayshott Concerts team were delighted to learn that their Patron, Dr Karl Jenkins OBE, has been appointed CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list - 'for services to music.'
Despite his many interests and commitments around the world Karl has been extremely supportive to Grayshott Concerts, and has joined in to the full with the two concerts he has attended his own 'Stabat Mater' and more recently 'Messiah' performed by Excelsis and the Grayshott Baroque Orchestra.
Karl is at present preparing for the World Premiere of his 'Gloria' at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 11th July. On a slightly smaller scale, he is working with Grayshott Concerts on a unique and exciting project for later in the year. More news on this when arrangements are finalised.
Concerts' next event, run jointly with Applegarth Farm, is the Grayshott Shakesperience, an open air production of Shakespeare's comedy 'Love's Labour's Lost' at 7.30pm on Wednesday 7th July.
The event starts with a sumptuous barbecue supper served at 5.30pm during which, guests can enjoy an exhilarating professional polo match.
Tickets at £15, £20 & £25 (with supper at £15) are selling fast but some may still available by ringing 01428 606666 or calling in person at Applegarth Farm.
