Local attraction and ceramics business, Grayshott Pottery has plans to hold two events in September, during which participants will have a chance to decorate previously prepared ceramics.
Ceramics designer, Myra McDonnell will lead the workshops and demonstrate a Studio Art glaze technique. Myra has a long history in the industry but has continued to teach and most recently was Chief Ceramic Technical Support/Lecturer at University of Creative Arts, in Farnham. She is currently a freelance decorator and designer for Grayshott Pottery.
During September's event, participants will be able to decorate plates on Saturday 11th and 18th September 2010 and can sign up to either a morning session for £25 each or a full day for £45. Attendees to the full day sessions will be able to tackle a larger ceramics piece in the afternoon. The costs of the sessions will include all materials as well as tea and coffee. The workshops are open to craftspeople, visitors and to 'people who just want to give it a go'. Experience is not necessary but participants must be over 16 years of age.
Places are limited and the organisers advise those, who are interested, to book as soon as they can to avoid disappointment.
