Grayshott's local classical music promoters, community group, Grayshott Concerts are delighted that specialist showroom, The Bath Room Grayshott, are to sponsor their next musical extravaganza in September.
The event, simply called, 'Emperor', features one of Beethoven's most dramatic compositions, Piano Concerto No.5 (Emperor), which will be the main work in a programme which includes Prokofiev's 'Classical' Symphony and Mendelssohn's Symphony No.4, the 'Italian'. The star soloist and conductor for the performance is international pianist Howard Shelley, who will direct the famous London Mozart Players.
'We're so privileged in Grayshott to have Howard Shelley coming to play such a huge work for us,' said Concerts' artistic director, Vivien Harrison. 'Howard has worked with us for months to get all the details right, so it's going to be a fantastic evening. Our wonderful sponsors make all our amazing concerts possible' she added. 'We just couldn't manage without them.'
Managing Director of The Bath Room Grayshott, Simon Closier, is enthusiastic about the new partnership. 'Local people always enjoy these events at St Luke's,' he said, 'So it's great to be the major sponsor and help such a high profile event which will attract over 300 people into the heart of Grayshott.' The Bath Room joins main sponsors Applegarth Farm and Huntington House Nursing Home for the concert, run in association with Buy In Grayshott (BIG).
