Tribute to Beer & Beatles at Grayshott's First FirkinFest

FirkinFest Fab Four FinaleTickets have gone on sale today at Grayshott Books for the 'FirkinFest' beer festival being held at Grayshott Village Hall in just five weeks time.

The very popular 'Upbeat Beatles' tribute band are headlining the festival and organisers are advising villagers to get their tickets early as it is very likely they will sell out.

The beer festival starts on 'FirkinFest Friday' 30th October at 6pm with 30 superb ales and ciders on offer and relaxing music from 'The Claire Phoenix Band' during the evening.

On Saturday 31st October the festivities continue during the afternoon with 'FirkinFest Jazz' with 'Binky's Dixie Demons' and conclude with the 'FirkinFest Fab Four Finale' starring tribute band 'The Upbeat Beatles'.

There will be BBQ food and choice of wine and soft drinks available throughout the festival.

Tickets, available in advance for each of the three sessions, will include a 'FirkinFest' souvenir glass, festival guide and tasting notes.

In case you are still wondering what a Firkin is, it's a nine gallon cask traditionally used to transport ale and cider and the inspiration behind Grayshott's 'FirkinFest' which organisers hope will become an annual event.

Local businesses and organisations are being invited to sponsor the event, sponsor a firkin or advertise in the festival guide - see details below.
