Clive Foskett, Chief Executive of Grayshott based Signature Publishing Ltd was Highly Commended in the Publisher of the Year category at the recent Periodical Publisher's Association (PPA) Awards, the most prestigious event in the magazine publishing calendar.

The award was presented to Clive at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, at a glittering 1920's themed awards ceremony hosted by comedian Dara O'Briain, attended by more than 900 delegates from the publishing industry. This year the PPA received a record number of entries in the 22 award categories.

Clive's recognition was for Signature's Horse&Rider magazine, the UK's best-selling equestrian monthly. It was shortlisted in the Publisher of the Year category along with four other titles. During 2008 Horse&Rider grew from strength to strength, dramatically increasing its market share while outselling its main competitors by a substantial margin, and it continues to perform strongly as market leader.

Clive formed Signature Publishing in 2005, with a vision of becoming one of the UK's top 25 magazine publishers. Over the past four years Signature has won and been highly commended for several national publishing awards across its range of magazines.

The PPA awards are universally recognised as the UK's top magazine and business media awards. Companies cite success in The PPA Awards as evidence of the excellence of their magazines and their personnel.
