FirkinTickets have been flying out of Grayshott Books for this years FirkinFest this week as organisers announce that their FirkinFantastic range of 30 Beers and Ciders will all be on offer at just £2.50 a pint.
FirkinFest is aiming to attract a wide audience to Grayshott's first beer festival at Grayshott Village Hall by offering superb entertainment combined with the choice of a wide selection of real ales and ciders and great food over three sessions.
There will be twenty four cask conditioned ales from around the United Kingdom, six ciders and a different band at each of the sessions offering something for everyone. In addition wine, soft drinks, snacks and a BBQ will also be available throughout the festival.
The festival has also received generous support from local businesses, organisations and suppliers to the festival with main sponsors The Fox & Pelican leading the way and all 30 firkins having now been sponsored.
The festival kicks-off with 'FirkinFriday' on Friday 30th October from 6pm to midnight in Grayshott Village Hall. The Claire Phoenix Band, (pictured above), including well known Grayshott music maestro Vic Cracknell, will be playing chic, sophisticated, mellow soul, pop and jazz to entertain the crowds. Tickets are £5 each and available from Grayshott Books in advance or on the door if not sold out.
Saturday afternoon, from midday to 6pm, see's 'FirkinJazz' offering high class, foot tapping jazz numbers from Binky's Dixie Demons (pictured left) at Grayshott Village Hall. Tickets are £5 each and available from Grayshott Books in advance or on the door if not sold out.
FirkinFest 09 concludes on Saturday night 31st October with 'FirkinFinale', from 7pm to midnight at Grayshott Village Hall, starring tribute band The Upbeat Beatles (pictured right) featuring Grayshott's John "Macca" Wilson as Paul McCartney. Relive the sounds and excitement of the 60s' in true Beatle fashion while sampling the quality beers & ciders on offer. Tickets are £12.50 each and available from Grayshott Books in advance or on the door if not sold out.
FirkinTickets will include your FirkinFest 09 souvenir glass, festival guide and tasting notes. Festival goers returning to subsequent sessions with their glass can choose to receive a pint beer token instead of another glass.
