Scrooge is a 'Dickens' of an attraction in Grayshott

ScroogeWhen community classical music promoters 'Grayshott Concerts' decided to stage Charles Dickens', "A Christmas Carol" at St Luke's Church at 7.00pm on Wednesday 25th November, little did they know how popular it would prove.

Tickets for Britain's best known ghost story, featuring Scrooge and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come, have been eagerly snapped up for weeks and now only a few remain.

"We're really glad we took a gamble on this amazing production,' said organiser, Peter Harrison. "It's a heady mix of eccentric masks, wild puppets and an atmospheric set - with live music and songs making this fabulous story a great start to the Christmas festivities."

The performance coincides with the traditional 'switching on' of the Grayshott Christmas lights at 5pm on the village greens to make this another 'brilliant' Grayshott occasion.

The organisers have been lucky enough to secure the last opportunity of seeing this show before Christmas as performances by top professional touring company Strange Face Theatre were already booked to appear all over the UK.

"Surprisingly, with all its ghosts, it's not a scary show at all but full of fun and drama for all the family aged 7+" added Mr Harrison.

Tickets are £15 and £10, and now, thanks to a recent grant from Arts Council England, there are a few FREE tickets available for children accompanied by adults paying £5.
