There were red noses and red legs on show at Grayshott Pottery this week as staff raised £300 for Comic Relief.

The sponsored leg waxing and "dress up" day took place in the decorating room and viewing gallery area of the Pottery and sponsorship of the event came from its café customers and Grayshott Pottery staff themselves.

Pottery worker Phil Wareham (pictured below), who came up with the idea of having his legs waxed for charity said after the event, "Although I can't say it was a highly enjoyable experience, it was a small sacrifice for a really worthwhile charity. I don't think on the other hand I will be rushing to have leg waxing done on a regular basis!"

In previous years, staff at the Pottery have raised funds for Comic Relief by other hair removal schemes, including two members of staff shaving their heads for the charity!
