On Sunday last The Fox & Pelican Pub in Grayshott held a Village community charity event for all the family and £245.00 was raised for the Macmillan Cancer Support shop in Grayshott.

A superb display of fireworks was put on for the large crowd gathered, paid for and donated jointly by The Fox & Pelican and Tom & Abi Jones of Fairland's, who as well organised the kiddies corner. For those with a healthy appetite Mark, the Fox & Pelican Manager, served up an excellent Barbeque.

Later in the evening there was a packed house listening and dancing to the fabulous local group Beats Working, again the Pub sponsored this live entertainment.

The Fox & Pelican team were delighted with how successful the evening went and said they are very pleased to be able to support such an important charity as Macmillan which helps so many in the community.

Shirley Bates the Manageress of Grayshott's Macmillan Shop said " Again The Fox & Pelican has come up trumps, this is a real village community pub with smashing staff who support and get involved in village events, so a big thank you must go to everyone for the hard work they put in raising this sum of money for a very worthy local charity.
