At long last, a chance to see the ultimate sci-fi horror cult musical movie. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is coming to Grayshott Village Hall on Wednesday 25th November.
Ever since its release in 1974 Rocky Horror has become, thanks to elaborate audience participation particularly on the midnight movie circuit, the definitive cult film of all time.
When innocent newlyweds Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon) seek shelter after their car breaks down in a storm, they find themselves made welcome in the home of transvestite Doctor Frank 'N' Furter (Tim Curry). But all is not as it first seems, as they discover that Frank 'N' Furter is hosting a get together for visitors from the planet Transsexual to show off his latest creation, Rocky!
Penned by Richard O'Brien, who plays the very sinister butler Riff-Raff, Rocky Horror is packed with classics such as Time Warp, Sweet Transvestite and a blast of a rock 'n' roll performance by Meatloaf, but the star of the show, and the most memorable lines belong to the over the top, ultra-camp Frank 'N' Furter.
If you have seen it before, watching Rocky Horror again is as comfortable as slipping into a favourite pair of well, fishnet stockings, but if it is your first time, be prepared for an experience of a lifetime.
Doors will open at 7.30pm, with the presentation starting at 8.00pm. Ice-creams, light refreshments and the bar will be available as usual.
Cinema tickets are priced at £5.00, or £4.00 for under 16s, and are available from Grayshott Books (tel: 01428 604798) or on the door.
