Over a hundred Grayshott villagers visited an exhibition of the proposals for the refurbishment of the Village Square held at the Village Hall this weekend. Grayshott Square Group Chairman Colin Thompson, Secretary Liz Pennick and Committee Member Peter Hatch were on hand to guide visitors through the various visual display boards and answer questions. Also assisting were Hampshire County Councils landscape architect Katie Morgans, who has been leading the project as part of the Hampshire Country Towns Initiative along with Stephen DEstehoare, Principal Landscape Officer & Heritage Team Leader at East Hampshire District Council.

After viewing the displays visitors were encouraged to fill out a feedback questionnaire and the results will be considered before the final plans are drawn up. Assuming all the funding for the project is forthcoming it is hoped that constructtion will commence next spring.

If you missed the exhibition the proposals can be viewed online and the questionnaire downloaded or please send your comments to squaregroup@grayshott.com The proposals will also be on display at the forthcoming Parish Assembly on Friday 3rd April.
