16th may - Life in Blue Jackets and Pines - Grayshott stepped back in time on Saturday to pay tribute to famous Grayshott resident Dame Agnes Weston. Highly regarded for her charitable work with serving Royal Navy servicemen and their families during the latter part of Victorian times, residents, businesses and members of local clubs and societies joined the celebrations and the unveiling of a blue plaque at Dame Agnes's house 'Ensleigh' in Crossways Road, Grayshott. more...

12th may - Stagers' treat for Noel Coward fans - Grayshott Stagers gave Noel Coward aficionados a real treat with their production of Cowardy Custard at the village hall over four nights from 23rd to 26th April. Telling the story of Coward's life through song and biographical snippets, the revue features songs and scenes from the 1920s to the 1960s, including I'll See, You Again, London Pride, Mad Dogs and Englishmen and A Room with a View. more...

6th may - Grayshott Pottery Supports Access to Service Awards - Encouraging businesses to provide "Access for All", is the aim of an award initiative now in its second year. This year's top Access to Service award, has been won by Bordon business, Bob's Taxi, who scooped the coveted prize and wooed the judges with his friendly and fully accessible London taxi cab service. more...

22nd apr - Grayshott Gardeners Spring Show - The Grayshott Gardeners put on their Spring Show in the Grayshott Village Hall on Saturday 12 April on a typical April day of sun and showers. The day saw a record number of 331 entries, which far exceeded the 198 entries in the previous year. The warm January followed by hard frosts and even a sprinkling of snow had not affected the quality of the exhibits and reminded some of the more mature members of the winters they and their plants had enjoyed? in times past. more...

26th mar - Grayshott Firefighter visits No10 - Local Firefighter Mark Brittain from Grayshott Fire & Rescue was invited to a reception at Downing street recently. Mark was a nominated for The Spirit of Fire Awards which is the UK Fire Services premier event recognising bravery and dedication in the Fire Services community. The Prime Minister personally addressed all the nominees and then met with them at a reception in the state rooms of Downing Street. more...

12th mar - Hindhead Together exhibition display extended - After two very busy days for last week, the Concept Statement display has now gone to Haslemere Town Hall. Following this it will go to Beacon Hill to give people another chance to see the ideas for redevelopment of the London Road area. The Hindhead Together Partnership wants the local community involved in agreeing on possible opportunities for development within the context of the historical, cultural and environmental assets of the area. more...

9th mar - Have your say at Local Community Forum - The people of Grayshott, Headley, Whitehill, Bordon, and Lindford will have a chance to put forward their views on the future of their area at the next meeting of their local Community Forum, being held in the Liphook Millenium Centre at 6.30pm on Tuesday 18 March. This is the last of the four Community Forums at which East Hampshire District Council is asking residents for their views. These will then be incorporated into the Community Strategy that guides joint work by councils, police, health services and voluntary agencies. more...

29th feb - Affordable housing boost for Grayshott - East Hampshire District Council is delighted that a small-scale development of affordable housing is to be provided in the village of Grayshott to address the housing needs of some local people. This year will see the completion of two houses and two bungalows in the village. Following development funding of £196,000 from the Housing Corporation, Drum Housing Association started on site in January at Beech Hanger End. 5th feb - The Great Grayshott Pancake Race A very blustery Shrove Tuesday in Grayshott battered the eighteen brave contestants as they took part in the Great Grayshott Pancake Race held in The Village Square. A crowd of supporters and onlookers cheered on the runners whilst they negotiated the course around the square whilst flipping their pancakes as the wind tried to whip them away. After five close heats and semi finals the eventual winner, just beating Peter Harrison from Grayshott Concerts into a close second, was Chee-Man Chan pictured centre above who, representing Dinomite magazine produced by Grayshott based Signature Publishing, had dressed for the occasion.more...

4th feb - 2007 Best Dressed Shop in Grayshott Awards Dinner Last night (Sunday 3rd February) saw the exciting finale of the awards for the best dressed shop in Grayshott 2007. Judging is done twice a year, in spring and autumn, with marks awarded for cleanliness, shop display and general shop appearance. 17th jan - Grayshott Concerts heading for another sell-out event The debut performance of Grayshott's new Chamber choir "Excelsis" on Saturday 16th February at St Luke's Church Grayshott is already attracting considerable attention.
