Grayshott Cricket Club Under 9 Lions team roared again by becoming the Two Counties Youth League Champions for the second successive year winning the Alan Staves Trophy. With some of the boys featuring in the final for the second time Grayshott beat Frensham in the final held at Churt.
Grayshott restricted Frensham to 143 off their 20 overs through some fine bowling, supported by some outstanding catches in the field. Frensham bowled well but it was always going to be an uphill struggle to contain the score as Grayshott finished on 174.
Alan Staves presented medals to all the players and the cup to winning captain Harrison Ward in a game played in the true spirit of cricket. Pictured here are the winning Grayshott team together with a picture of Grayshott Captain and Vice Captain with their trophies.
Grayshott youth sides have had a tremendous season reaching four finals across three different age groups. For further information about Grayshott Cricket Club and all the latest club news visit the Club?s new look website at www.grayshottcc.co.uk
