Legion Donates Money For GUTS

Once again Beacon Hill British Legion Club has raised £400.00 for Guildford Undetected Tumour Screening for bowel cancer, ( GUTS )

The money was raised through various events in 2007 including a " Barcardi and Gin Bowls" competition in memory of Phil Love who died at an early age from cancer.

The Legion has now raised thousands of pounds over many years supporting GUTS which is a local charity serving the community.

"Phil Bates a Friend and past Trustee of GUTS said he was truly delighted that the Beacon Hill Legion Club is continuing to support GUTS. The money raised will go towards the much needed screening programme based at the Royal Surrey Hospital at Guildford" He went on to say, " we really appreciate the enormous effort and generosity from local groups and organisations such as the Legion Club for GUTS that supports local surgeries including Haslemere,Liphook and Grayshott. My thanks again to Leon Fisher and his team of helpers for supporting this worthy local charity".
