Grayshott Stagers Cowardy Custard

Grayshott Stagers next musical production is Cowardy Custard an entertainment devised by Gerald Frow, Alan Strachan and Wendy Toye. As well as many of the instantly recognisable Coward songs, there are extracts from several of his plays and autobiographies which help to trace Coward's theatrical journey from child actor to accomplished playwright and lyricist to celebrity raconteur. This kaleidoscopic revue of Noël Coward's best loved work will be directed by Heather Legat, with Angela Jones as Musical Director.

The show was an immense success in London, imaginatively presenting a mixture of Noel Coward's words, music, sketches and snippets from plays which include Shadow Play, Present Laughter, and Design for Living, as well as personal reminiscences taken from the Master's books, interspersed with many of his wittiest and most poignant songs like 'Mad Dogs & Englishmen', 'There Are Bad Times Just Around the Corner', 'The Stately Homes of England', 'Poor Little Rich Girl' and 'London Pride'.

Performances will be on Wednesday-Saturday 23rd-26th April 2008 at Grayshott Village Hall, all performances start at 7:30pm. Tickets are reasonably priced at £9:00.
