Haslemere Beer Festival returns this September to Haslemere Hall with the same winning formula of great real ale and cider, superb live music and delicious local food.
The organisers have selected 36 very special real ales for the event including a selection from local breweries along with favourites and award winners from all around the UK. As well as the beer there is also an extensive cider section which is being expanded due to the high demand shown at the 2007 festival. A licensed bar will offer alternatives for drivers and non beer drinkers.
Music is an important part of the event. This year Friday night features a special Buskers Express 'Festival Mix' featuring a selection of the best local bands, jazz follows on Saturday lunchtime with favourites Sounds So Familiar and a great party band, Revival, playing music from the 1960's to the present day rounds off the event on Saturday evening.
The event is part of Haslemere Food Festival and great locally sourced food will be served at each session.
One of the organisers Simon Labrow said 'we were delighted with how well our 2007 Haslemere Beer Festival went and were very pleased with the many positive comments we received. Now established as a popular annual event we are planning for the 2008 event to be even bigger and better.'
The beer festival sessions are on Friday 5th September 7pm to 11pm & Saturday 6th September 12:00 midday to 4pm and 7pm to 11pm. Entry tickets are £5 per session to include a souvenir glass and available from Haslemere Hall box office 01428 661793 or online at www.haslemerehall.com. Please note beer festivals often sell out so it is advisable to buy tickets in advance.
The organisers are looking for sponsors of the event and volunteers to help at the event. If you are interested please call Simon Labrow on 01428 651010 or email simon@labrowonline.co.uk .
