Community First East Hampshire's newly appointed outreach worker, Janet Easton, would like to meet key people in the local community of Grayshott. To get the ball rolling Janet met this week with Peter Hatch, webmaster of grayshott.com and chairman of Party in Grayshott and Phil Bates of the Grayshott Society to discuss local issues.

Janet explained "I am here to support small new or existing voluntary groups across east Hampshire. If anyone needs help setting up a group, establishing a committee, setting up paperwork or finding funds, whatever the issue, I would like to hear from them."

After the meeting Phil said, "We were extremely pleased to meet up with Janet as it gave us an opportunity to explain how and why Grayshott Village is so community driven and vibrant. Janet was amazed to learn the number of groups we have that get involved with every day life which encompasses all age groups"

Pete agreed "It's good to see that Community First East Hampshire are being pro active in getting out meeting communities such as Grayshott in this way, which is a very worthwhile positive approach as more and more we all have to build on partnerships to everyone's best advantage"
