Scouts Prepared for Second Grayshott Boundary Walk

Join the second Grayshott Boundary WalkThe 1st Grayshott Scout Group are well advanced with their plans for the Boundary Walk around Grayshott village on Sunday 28th September - all they need now is some good weather!!

As last year, the two start points are Grayshott Royal British Legion Club and the car park at Ludshott Common.

Walkers will be asked to make a contribution to Scouting funds of £5 each or £10 for a family. There is also the opportunity for walkers to use the event to raise sponsorship money for what ever cause they choose to support. All the necessary paper work is available on www.boundarywalk.co.uk or by ringing 01428 605819

Start at any time between 9.00 am and 2.30 pm and set out in either direction. The whole route will be marked with clear signs and marshals will be patrolling it all day.

Local extreme sports network Rezurgence will provide a chill zone at Ludshott and walkers will be able to obtain refreshments here. Will from Rezurgence said " This is a great opportunity for us to support a local event - we're stoked to be invited back again offering riding marshalls on route. Last year our riders completed a total of 48 laps supporting the walkers. The chill zone will be open all day so pop in". More information on Rezurgence can be seen on www.rezurgence.com

Applegarth farm shop is a short walk off the route and Will Benson is happy to support this event by offering walkers half prices on food and drinks consumed on the premises.

Grayshott Social Club would like to offer all boundary walkers a complimentary drink on the day. Walkers are invited to call in as they pass the club, which is within about 200 yards of the route and will be signposted, or failing that they will be most welcome to drop in after their walk for some relaxation.

The route has been changed in one or two areas but it has not altered its intrinsic quality of being a wonderful chance to see Grayshott from all sides. The feed back from last year was so positive that the Scouts are optimistic that all who take part will once again look back on their efforts with a sense of pride and fulfilment.

The Scouts are grateful to Miles and Miles, Grayshott Pottery and Keats for their help in providing funds and materials for this event
