It was another full house at the Village Hall for Grayshott Cricket Club's 2008 Youth Presentation Evening last Friday. To celebrate what has been quite a successful season for the Youth Section this year. Monty Lynch former Surrey, Gloucestershire and England Cricketer was in attendance to present some of the awards. Kevin Kaighan was also present from BIG to present all the awards to the Under 9 squad as sponsors of the Club's U9 age group
Youth Manager Graham Sampson gave an overview of the season which included 66 games of Youth cricket, the highlight being the U9s winning the Two Counties Youth League for the second successive season and the Under 15s winning their league in the South East Hants District League. The Under 11 and Under 15 sides also topped their respective Divisions in the Two Counties Youth league remaining unbeaten, but losing out to Guildford and Farnham respectively in the finals.
Off the pitch, Grayshott was recently presented with it Clubmark re-accreditation certificate at the Rose Bowl and remains an ECB Focus Club. The winners of the Club Awards were presented with their trophies from Monty Lynch as follows;
Batting - George Bowerman (U15), Bowling - Alex Meears (U15) , Fielding - Nathan Phillimore (U13), Wicket Keeping - Josh Tytler (U15), Most Improved Player - George Hill (U10)
Age Group Players of the Year were Harrison Ward (U9), Oliver Duckworth (U10), Raveen Sriharan (U11), Sam Judge (U13), Matt Jackson (U15)

The Mick Greathurst Shield for Young Players in Adult Cricket was awarded to Alex Ward (U15)
Club stalwart Peter Clapham was on hand to present his trophy Young Player of the Year to Harry Jackson (U10).
