Grayshott's Early Morning Appetite

A FREE early morning breakfast held at the Fox & Pelican in Grayshott last Saturday (1st March) attracted over 120 diners. In fact several more were disappointed as the food eventually ran out!

The event was held to celebrate the marvellous work that Cancer Research UK is doing in beating cancer. Although the breakfast was free, donations were encouraged, with every penny contributed going to the cause.

The ingredients for the breakfast were all donated by the local business community. Kaighin & Daughter Butchers supplied the sausages, bacon and eggs, Cabbage Patch the tomatoes and mushrooms, Tesco Express the bread and the Fox & Pelican the rest, including cooking it all.

...raised £1,000 donations to Cancer Research UK
Ben Bagguley and Dick Smith, the organisers on behalf of the Buy in Grayshott campaign, were over-whelmed by the response, not to mention over-worked! And at the end of the morning were amazed to find that donations made totalled £1,000.00

Cancer Research UK were delighted with the contribution and wished to thank all those that participated for their generosity.
