The first design ideas for Grayshott Square community improvement project were unveiled last Saturday during the successful Grayshott Jamboree festival. The designs are now on display at the empty retail unit located next to Flower Vogue in Headley Road with the opportunity for local residents, businesses and visitors to post any comments.

The designs, created by students of Landscape Design & Architecture at Kingston University were based upon results from a survey conducted by Grayshott Parish council who purchased the square last year. Results from the survey showed almost unanimous support in favour of refurbishment.
Colin Thompson, local resident and Parish Councillor for Grayshott now heading the newly formed Grayshott Square group alongside volunteers from both the local business & residential community; welcomes everyone to comment on the designs.
"Local feedback will play an essential role in helping us to create a design solution that is both practical and desirable for the long term prosperity of the village''.
Mr Thompson and the Parish Council are extremely grateful to the students and teachers at Kingston University for all their help and support.
''The students work is very impressive and we greatly value their input. They have listened carefully to both the problems experienced by the community and their aspirations for the future to suggest many good solutions.
He is also keen to point out; the designs do not contain any final ideas.
''There may certainly be some elements that could be put forward to the final design. However, the real value lies in creating a forum for further open discussion enabling us to gather more feedback from local residents and business people''.
The designs will be on display until at least Friday 29th July. For further information of The Grayshott Square Community project please visit, www.grayshott.com.
