Liphook in Bloom Team collecting the 2007 winners plates from Phil Bates and Chris Greenaway of Grayshott Pottery
Liphook gardeners and green fingered residents are counting down the days to their rapidly approaching 'Liphook in Bloom' presentation evening, planned for the end of the month. The society, that this year celebrated its 10th Birthday, relies heavily on its residents and businesses to sponsor not only the flowers, plants and bulbs, but also the winners' prizes and trophies and for the 10th year running, Grayshott Pottery has sponsored and produced their stunning 'hand finished' winners plates.
"We are so grateful to Grayshott Pottery for their continued help and support", explained Irene Ellis, President of Liphook in Bloom, "It is greatly appreciated and we very much hope that we might be able to support Grayshott village one day very soon, when they create their very own Grayshott in Bloom!"
Chris Greenaway, Sales Director from Grayshott Pottery said, "We are only too delighted to be able to support the 'Liphook in Bloom' team with this great work. It is always a pleasure to see the way Liphook pulls together to create splashes of colour and life in the village and all this wonderful effort appears to have kept the area looking vibrant and interesting throughout the whole year!"
The Liphook in Bloom team this year have achieved a 'hat trick' of awards this year for their hard work. They have won a prestigious Gold award in the South and South East of England 'Small Town Category' awards and then went on to win a discretionary regional prize for the 'Most Community Involvement' as well as a Silver award for entering Radford Park in the Countryside Parks Award. Making 2007 a year for Liphook to remember!
