After their victory at Tongham by 8 wickets recently, the young Grayshott 3rd XI were crowned champions of the I`Anson League Division 5. Gill Rooney and Norman Disney visited Grayshott in the evening to present the winners shield to Lee Conway, standing in for usual skipper Pete Hannam who was away on holiday.
Grayshott amazingly did not draw a game all season - winning 12 games and losing just 3 to finish on 108 points - just pipping Chiddingfold 2nd XI to the title.
Most of the side consists of under 15`s bolstered by veterans Alan Lang (41 wickets), Pete Hannam, Alfie Farnfield, Paul Roberts and Lee Conway.
The youngsters who contributed during the season included Tom Part, Billy Maisey, Dan Bolton, Nick Rigden, Matt Jackson, Alex Ward, Danny Brown, Charlie Millsom, Sam Judge, Josh Tytler, George Bowerman and Stuart Young.
