Grayshott Pottery this week revealed that its team has recently supplied catering stoneware to the newly opened Wembley stadium.

The Pottery that is best known for its locally produced plates and pots for the home-ware market as well as for its developing 'artist inspired' pieces, is on the other hand, little known for its supply to the commercial sector and yet, for the pottery, this is an expanding market for the business.

"People tend to think of us as a tiny village pottery tucked away from the retail area in Grayshott, but one of the main reasons we have survived when so many potteries have closed, is because we have been open to change", explained Chris Greenaway, Sales Director. "We supply many blue chip organisations but this order makes us especially proud."

Wembley, which was recently described by David Beckham as " the ultimate stadium"*, this weekend hosted the FA cup between Chelsea (1) and Manchester United (0) and the pottery supplied is planned to be used in the banqueting suite by Delaware, who recently won the catering contract to the stadium.

Grayshott Pottery's Managing Director, Ed Snell was upbeat about the prestigious destination of the pottery's work, "We were over the moon when we obtained this order and it is wonderful to think that our dishes from Grayshott, might be used by some very famous footballer stars. Our team here are delighted to supply the teams of the future!"

Grayshott Pottery, who was today celebrating an "All Record High" in their sales figures, is a significant supplier to the catering industry and have amongst their clients companies such as:- Greene King, Mitchells & Butler, Harvester, Toby, Vintage, Embers, ONeill's, Brown's Restaurants, Frankie and Benny. Grayshott Pottery also undertakes extensive promotional work for companies such as Tango, Diageo, Indesit, the REME, and many more.
