The discovery of two robins nests housing 5 hatching eggs, led to production being temporarily halted recently at Grayshott Pottery.

"The nests were cleverly built as a semi detached unit inside a tray of large mugs awaiting firing." explained Chris Greenaway, Sales Director of Grayshott Pottery, "When the birds, which staff named Robina and Ronaldo, were discovered we immediately took steps to completely avoid the area, so that they would stand every chance of raising their little ones."

This decision however, resulted in a problem for the pottery. Robina and Ronaldo were nesting in a customer's order!

" At one point we thought that we weren't going to be able to complete the order on time," said Robyn Clarke, production supervisor, "but some quick thinking by staff meant that we were able to increase production and staff worked round the clock in order that the robins were left in peace."

The result - 5 healthy baby robins which have now flown the nest, allowing for work, at the bird loving Grayshott Pottery, to continue on track!
