Grayshott village is set to have new bespoke village signs. The proposed design shown above is also shown below with an example of an existing sign for comparison.

Working on the project is Phil Bates from the Grayshott Society and Russell Cupitt of Grayshott based design company Visual Assets. The new design incorporates the existing Grayshott logo which Russell originally created for the Village Millennium event and subsequently developed for the Millennium sculpture, which now stands proudly on the village green.

Phil, who is coordinating the making and placing of the new signs and who is communicating with the Parish Council and others said; "The existing signs badly need replacing and you can see this clearly from the photos. So instead of replacing them with the same basic 'highway' signage, we felt this was a great opportunity for the village to have their own unique sign designed. We also wanted to celebrate the fact that we are an award winning village for the third time in 2007 and I know the community is extremely proud of this fact! ".

The signs will be located on the four primary roads that enter the village, east and west on Headley Road, Crossways Road and Whitmore Road. Each sign will have raised black lettering and border and the village logo will be modelled and hand painted in green and yellow.

The Grayshott Pottery Employee Benefit Trust, through their Village Community Fund, have kindly agreed to fund the making of the signs and associated erection costs and Visual Assets have yet again supported the village by contributing all the design work and advice at no cost, which means no funding will be needed from the Parish Councils Village Precept.
