On 20th December, the national "Loo of the Year Awards" presented the new Grayshott toilet and police office block with a coveted Gold medal. This follows the five star rating achieved earlier this year. Only 30 medals are awarded each year for the nation as a whole, so this is a major success for the village.
As a matter of interest, all three new loos built by East Hampshire District Council over the past year won gold medals, securing 10% of the national total for the District. The other two were Blendworth, and Ladyplace Car Park in Alton and all three were designed by EHDC's project manager, Mr. Brian Redwood. |
