Casino Royale Premiere for Movies in Grayshott

Movies in Grayshott is proud to present "Casino Royale", the first of a series of monthly film shows at Grayshott Village Hall. The Grayshott film premiere will take place on Saturday, 14 April 2007, doors opening at 7.30pm. Tickets will be available exclusively from Grayshott Books (01428 604798) in the next week.

The Grayshott Pottery Community Trust Fund donated £1,000 towards the purchase of the projector and sound equipment. "This is a very exciting new development for the village and well worth the support of the Community Trust Fund", said Phil Bates, Chairman of Grayshott Pottery.

Local business Visual Assets also stepped up to the mark, providing design and artwork for the Movies in Grayshott logo and posters. Managing Director Russell Cuppitt commented, "Any activity that makes use of the village hall is vitally important to both the community and the continued existence of this valuable amenity."

"We wanted to be able to show popular, recent and classic movies at a local venue," said Barbie McSean, one of the founders of Movies in Grayshott. "Without the support of Grayshott Pottery, Visual Assets and Grayshott Books, as well as the efforts of the other founding members, we would not have got off to such a flying start." The village hall is an ideal venue as it is within walking distance for many within the village. With a licensed bar and refreshments, it is hoped that the films shows will become a regular social event.

Future programmes will include the Oscar winning film "The Queen" and Dan Brown"s blockbuster, "The Da Vinci Code".
