Police out in Force at Grayshott Skatepark

The Grayshott Skate Park

Police were out in force in Grayshott last week visiting the Skatepark on the Sports field. Parish Councillor Ann Myers, together with the Parish Clerks, greeted members of the Hampshire Police Authority including the Chief of Police and the Clerk to the Authority accompanying Crime Prevention Consultant Barry Saunders when they came to inspect the Park last Friday. The Authority donated £3,000 to the scheme in 2005 and were delighted to see how well it had been spent. They were impressed with the layout and choice of equipment and pleased that the design had not been stinted on. They also commented on the ideal location and the quality of the fencing used. Ann Myers informed the visitors that the park was well used and that, in general, it had become accepted by the local community. Trouble, that had been anticipated by some nearby residents before the park was built, had not transpired and the Parish Council was very grateful to the Hampshire Police Authority for their support.
