This year is the centenary of the Scout Movement and Grayshott Scouts are celebrating this with a major event in Grayshott.
This event will be an opportunity for all local organisations/clubs/groups to raise money for what ever purpose you like! How? The Scouts have organised a "sponsored" Boundary Walk around Grayshott on Sunday 23rd September. The Scouts will mark and marshal the route, provide two start points and record all entrants as they pass check points. They will provide all sponsorship entrance forms, issue completion certificates and, where appropriate, facilitate the recovery of gift aid. Each walker can raise funds from sponsors for whatever charity or organisation they wish having made a donation to the Scout movement of £5 each. So, a great chance for your group to enjoy the 8 miles of wooded heathland walkways round beautiful Grayshott under the watchful eye of rangers and with medical support, refreshment stops and other interactive en route activities. A great day out bringing all the Grayshott societies together and celebrating 100years of Scouting. We would appreciate walkers registering in advance so that we can plan refreshments etc You can download the registration form and also a sponsorship form here or from our website www.boundarywalk.org or let us know how many your group requires and these can be provided. Of course some may prefer not to raise sponsorship but just take this chance to do the Boundary Walk without the risk of getting lost! Hopefully such entrants will register and make a donation of £5 to the Scout Movement. I hope you, or someone in your group, will support this event and I look forward to hearing from you.
